A Schurz man suspected of robbing the City Liquor and Food Store on Jan. 11 was arrested by Walker River Tribal Police on Friday.

According to Fallon Police Capt. Ron Wenger, Bryan Aaron Plummer was arrested at his father’s residence in Schurz and held for Fallon Police. After a prisoner exchange between the two law enforcement agencies, Fallon Police transported Plummer to the Churchill County Jail where he arrived shortly after 5 p.m.

Wenger said the robbery occurred at about 9:30 p.m. at 189 W. Williams Ave., Plummer entered the convenience store wearing a ballcap, a “Nevada” sweatshirt and sweat pants. A bandana covered his face.

“The male then had the clerk go to a back room and threatened her with harm if she came out,” Wenger said.

He added the suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

According to Wenger, once FPD officers arrived at the store and began to secure the scene, they also attempted to identify the suspect. He said detectives collected evidence left at or near the scene, which provided clues to Plummer’s identity.

Plummer is being held on $750,000 bail.
