Update: Fallon police find woman reportedly kidnapped

8 p.m. UPDATE: Capt. Vern Ulrich of the Fallon Police Department said Dorothy Mitchell, who was reportedly kidnapped Friday morning, was found Friday afternoon with her boyfriend. She told FPD she willingly went with her boyfriend.

Ulrich, though said Mitchell was taken into custody and booked into Churchill County Jail on a charge of violating parole.


Fallon police are asking for the community’s help in finding a Fallon woman who was allegedly kidnapped Friday morning.

Capt. Vern Ulrich said FPD are looking for Dorothy “Dot” Mitchell, 36. Ulrich said at about 10:44 a.m. in the 600 block of Douglas Street, witnesses observed Mitchell being grabbed around the neck by a caucasian man. Witnesses tell FPD the male suspect physically forced Mitchell into a primer black lifted Dodge pickup that is described as “very loud.”

Ulrich said the suspect is believed to be Mitchell’s boyfriend with a first name of Wes.

According to police, Wes (no last name known) is a white male with dark black long (mid-back) hair and has a scraggly Duck Dynasty-style beard. He is about 25-35 years old.

Mitchell is a 5-foot 1 caucasian, weighs about 120 pounds and has brown eyes and hair.
