Las Vegas taxis win OK to collect fuel surcharge
LAS VEGAS ” A Las Vegas taxi ride is going to cost 45 cents more per mile starting July 6.

Officials say the fuel surcharge can be eliminated if the average cost of a gallon of gasoline drops below $4 a gallon for 20 consecutive days.
It can be raised if the cost of gasoline goes above $5 a gallon for five consecutive da
Either way, the surcharge is subject to authority review in January.
