Amber Alert canceled
The Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting that an Amber Alert out of the Sacramento area has been canceled.
Our agency just received confirmation from Susanville CHP that the vehicle and subject wanted in the Amber Alert broadcast issued just a short time ago has been located in Susanville in a restaurant parking lot,” said Trooper Chuck Allen. “The CHP officers in Susanville located the subject and an adult female; however, the three-year-old female has not been located or accounted for.”
The suspect in a California Amber Alert was possibly spotted in Carson City this morning, according to the Carson City Sheriffs Office.
Sheriff Ken Furlong confirmed that someone reported seeing a pink Lincoln Continental about 11 a.m. at the Save Mart on Highway 50 East today.
The vehicle matches the description of one being sought by Sacramento-area law enforcement n the 9:45 a.m. abduction of a child and woman from Carmichael, Calif., 122 miles southwest of Carson City on Highway 50.
News10 in Sacramento is reporting the suspect, Leon Cuahutemoc, 27, allegedly fired several shots into a door there, then forced the woman into his car.
Witnesses also reported seeing a child in the vehicle, reports indicate.
Cuahutemoc is described as being Hispanic, 5 foot 4 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, officials said.
The vehicle is reported as a 1990-94 tan, mauve or pink colored Lincoln Towncar or Continental bearing California license plate of 3JST733.
There is no clothing description for the girl or Cuahutemoc.
The woman is described as being white, 18 years old with blue eyes, blonde hair, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 180 lbs. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and pink pants
