Police are hoping someone may recognize the surveillance photo of a man who allegedly stole a wallet from an unlocked car in Lakeview and then used the credit card at two Carson City businesses.

Detective Bob Motamenpour said victim Norman Ritter reported his wallet was among several items missing from his vehicle about 10:31 a.m. on Nov. 18. By the following day, Ritter’s card showed a $90 charge at Wal-Mart and a $16 charge at Quik Stop Market made about 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 18.

Motamenpour could not locate the suspect on the Wal-Mart surveillance, but the gas station surveillance cameras captured his image.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff’s Department at 887-2020 ext. 41400.

Norman Ritter is the husband of City Manager Linda Ritter.
