City survey to gauge interest in indoor recreation center
The Carson City Parks and Recreation Department is asking local residents to participate in an online survey to assess the community’s future indoor recreation and sports needs. The survey is the first step in evaluating the need for new indoor recreation space.
The survey takes about two minutes to complete and will be available Wednesday through Friday, May 14. The survey will be available in English and Spanish.
The survey’s English link is http://www.surveymonkey.com
The Spanish link is http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7RXJYHC.
In order to reach out to as many people as possible, the city will host two community events at the Carson City Community Center gymnasium, 851 E. William St., for people who don’t have computer access.
The events are 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, May 8.
The paper survey, identical to the online survey, will provide an opportunity for written comments.
City staff will be available to answer questions. The survey must be completed and turned in at the event.
For more information, contact Joel Dunn, recreation operations manager, at JDunn@ci.carson-city.nv.us or by calling the Carson City Recreation Division at 775-690-7419.
