Book signing Saturday

A book signing for Judie Hartwick, author of “Some Called Her Lizzie,” will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Borders Books on Topsy Lane in Carson City.

Hartwick has been a resident of Gardnerville/Carson City for 20 years and graduated from WNC.

Museum seeks rummage items

The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada is accepting donations for a fundraiser rummage sale, to be held 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 12.

Drop off tax-deductible donations of household goods, small appliances, decorative items, toys, jewelry, electronics, etc. from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily at the museum, 813 N. Carson St. No large appliances or clothing. For more information, call 884-2226.

Warren Engine Co. hosting fundraiser

The Warren Engine Co. No 1 is hosting a hot dog and hamburger barbecue from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Main Fire Station, 777 S. Stewart St. The event is a fundraiser for the station. Call 882-7270.
