Comstock Shootout to be held
Ninety-six age group girls soccer teams from around the West will converge on Carson City to begin play in the 11th annual Comstock Shootout today.
This is the second half of a two-weekend event in which 84 boys teams participated last weekend while the girls play today and Sunday. Action kicks off this morning at 8:30 a.m. at Edmonds Sports Complex and Mills Park. The finals will be played on Sunday afternoon.
The girls tournament is under the direction of Phil Williamson, who has been involved with the Comstock Shootout since its inception in 1994.
