David B. Messer
A memorial service for David B. Messer, 66, a Gardnerville resident for the past five years, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Messer died April 27, 2005, in Gardnerville. He was born July 19, 1938, in Wibaux, Montana.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Bishop, Calif.
Mr. Messer worked as a grocery store manager. He was an avid fisherman and joke teller.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George; and a sister, Colleen.
Among his survivors are his wife; children Karen of Missouri, Jeanne of Georgia, Ted of California, Kenny of Nevada and Dan of California; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry’s Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
