Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida and an announced candidate for the Republican nomination for president, will speak to a town hall gathering in Carson City Friday.

Bush, son of former president George H.W. Bush and younger brother of George W. Bush, will be at the Silver State Charter School, 900 Mallory Way, at 9:15 a.m.

Bush is already no stranger to Nevada. He was in Reno for a town hall in May before declaring his candidacy. He also was at the Clark County Lincoln Day Dinner in Las Vegas in May.

In addition, Bush, 62, is scheduled to be in Las Vegas after the Carson City event and staff members say he’s visiting Henderson on July 27.

He’s one of the projected favorites in a crowded Republican primary field.
