Las Vegas firm discloses improper Medicaid billings
CARSON CITY – The corporation that ran a Las Vegas mental health clinic has agreed to pay $455,000 to settle claims of improper Medicaid billings.
Apogee Health Services is a former owner and operator of the Hess & Associates center. Another former owner, Summit Behavioral Partners, entered into a similar settlement in September.
According to the state attorney general’s office, Apogee disclosed the improper billings on its own initiative, thereby avoiding criminal charges.
