League of Cities meets in Reno
(Staff report) – Municipal officials from across the country will gather in Reno Dec. 5-9 for the annual National League of Cities Congress.
More than 3,500 people are scheduled to attend to discuss issues critical to America’s cities and towns. Topics range from affordable housing and emergency preparedness to economic vitality and financing for city services and infrastructure.
Speakers include Henry Cisneros and Jack Kemp, former secretaries of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as well as civil rights leader Rev. Joseph E. Lowry and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.
The congress also includes an exposition. Events will be headquartered at the Reno Sparks Convention Center.
