Low-income housing units available
Friends In Service Helping will have four low-income housing units for homeless families becoming available in the next several weeks, and is now accepting applications, said Reed Robbins, FISH’s director of human services.
There are four qualifications that must be met:
• Applicant families must be homeless or facing homelessness;
• There must be a child or children in the family;
• If there are two parents in the family, at least one parent must work a minimum of 40 hours a week and earn minimum wage or more per hour;
• An applicant needs to have a favorable credit report.
The housing units are located on Stewart Indian School property and each of the units is roomy with spacious backyards, Robbins said.
