Lowden, Gibbons announce endorsements
Senate candidate Sue Lowden and Gov. Jim Gibbons have announced endorsements.
Lowden, one of a dozen GOP candidates seeking to defeat U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., said the Associated Builders and Contractors of Nevada has endorsed her primary campaign as offering the best solutions to turn Nevada’s economy around.
Wade Pope of ABC said Lowden is the “clear choice in the Republican primary.”
“She has the real life experience in dealing with those issues on a day to day basis,” he said. “Sue has the philosophy, experience and ability to hit the ground running at a critical time in our economic history.”
Gibbons, who is facing a tough challenge from two major candidates in his Republican primary, was endorsed by two Tea Party activist groups: Grassroots Nevada and Anger/Action is Brewing.
Grassroots officials said Gibbons has “best served the interests of the conservative movement.”
