Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki says he’ll seek re-election
(AP) – Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki says he plans to seek re-election next year.
A judge earlier this month threw out a criminal indictment against Krolicki and his aide, Kathryn Besser. The two were accused by the attorney general’s office of mishandling a college savings program that Krolicki founded while he was state treasurer.
No money was ever missing from the $3 billion program.
A Clark County judge said the indictment against them was flawed, and Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto last week said her office would not appeal the dismissal.
Krolicki announced his intent to seek re-election Wednesday on the television program, “Nevada Newsmakers.”
