Jim Grant / Nevada AppealJarrod and Justine Pugliese, pictured with their children, from left, Jamison, 7, Addison, 4, and Bryson 17-months, have opened Bounce N Play Carson City at 3267 Research Way, Suite 210.

History of your business? We bought Bouncerz in August but we have owned another Bounce N Play in Gardnerville since November 2010.How did your business start? We sold off a lot of our assets to start our first facility in Gardnerville and then the old owners of Bouncerz came to us this summer and asked for us to buy them out. This was perfect for us since we wanted to expand to Carson but didn’t want to step on their territory. What do you sell? We have five bounce house units set up and have open bounce on Thursdays 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m., Fridays 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and weekends vary depending on our party schedule. We also offer the same party packages as before but we also added a NERF Tag party that is a huge hit at our Gardnerville facility and are now booking up in the Carson facility. We also rent our units out and will bring them to your house or other locations for birthday parties, celebrations, weddings or whatever reason. What strategy do you use to hire good people? I hire people for our facility that love to work with children, have a crafty side and like to host parties! With our rentals I hire strong people since our lightest unit is 200 pounds. And of course I run a background check to ensure safety to our customers. What is your strategy for growth in the next year?I feel we are on a great steady incline for growth and we are going to keep adding new units, activities and events for our customers to enjoy. What is the best thing about running a business here? We love interacting with the families of Carson Valley. Everyone is so down to earth and very welcoming. We love all the events that we can attend and set up our units at for the kids to enjoy. It’s also great to be able to add another play/party facility that everyone can enjoy year round.
