Meth worth $145,000 seized in Stateline
Law enforcement officers from three agencies seized two pounds of methamphetamine Thursday in Stateline with a street value of $145,000.
Sgt. Jim Halsey said the investigation involved the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team, Western El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team and the All Threats/All Crimes unit from Reno.
Officers arrested Francisco Sandoval-Estrada, 45, of Modesto, Calif., after he reportedly delivered one pound of suspected methamphetamine to investigators during an undercover transaction.
An additional pound was recovered from Sandoval-Estrada’s vehicle.
He was booked in Douglas County Jail on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance for sale, methamphetamine. His bail was set at $105,000.
Halsey said Sandoval-Estrada also was being held on an immigration hold through U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
