Motorcyclist visits 48 states to protect the Constitution
Virginia small businessman Daren Gardner is two-thirds of the way through a motorcycle tour of every state capital in the continental U.S. that he hopes will teach citizens the importance of protecting the original intent of the U.S. Constitution.
Carson City was his 34th stop Tuesday and, as he has in every other state, he asked a sitting member of the Legislature to sign a resolution urging Congress to protect the Constitution. In Nevada’s case, he chose Amargosa Valley Republican Ed Goedhart.
Gardner said his tour will conclude Oct. 30 in Washington, D.C., where he plans to present the resolution to Congress.
Gardner, who runs a tool and supply company, drew a small crowd including several Independent American and Republican legislative candidates. About 60 people showed up for the event outside the Nevada Legislative Building.
