Navarro confirmed to U.S. District Court in Nevada
LAS VEGAS (AP) – The U.S. Senate has confirmed the nomination of Gloria Navarro to serve as a judge in the U.S. District Court for Nevada.
Navarro currently serves as chief deputy district attorney for the Clark County Office of County Counsel.
Navarro was confirmed Wednesday on a 98-0 Senate vote.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid congratulated Navarro, saying she is committed to the Nevada community and exhibits hard work, discipline and respect for the rule of law.
Reid says in a statement that he is impressed by Navarro’s professional record and her commitment to public service.
