Nevada Appeal at 150: Dec. 4, 1967: Color photo is Appeal first

This photo of the Sierra marks the first time a Nevada newspaper has produced a color photo in its own shop. We recently became the first paper in the state to acquire a color enlarger plus the other equipment necessary to produce our own color photos from start to finish. Hitherto, Nevada papers wanting to use color have been forced to send their film out of state for processing — a time consuming and expensive chore. We can now do it in our own plant in a matter of hours.
