EXCEEDING SPEED OF SOUND in level flight, this is first action picture of new F-100 ‘Super Sabre,’ successor to the famed F-86 jet fighter. The plane, shown at Edwards Air Force Base in California, is 45 feet long with a wingspan of 36 feet. The wings and tail are swept back 45 degrees. Service ceiling is 50,000 feet, combat radius 500 miles.
