New ads hit airwaves in fierce Nevada Senate race
LAS VEGAS (AP) – New TV ads from independent groups are hitting the airwaves in Nevada’s Senate race.
A new group, Americans for New Leadership, began an ad Friday defending Republican Sharron Angle and calling Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s campaign ads a “lie.”
The Nevada-based group formed this week. It hasn’t filed federal records yet disclosing the source of its funding. Its website says it backs candidates who support limited government.
Meanwhile, the union-backed Patriot Majority slams Angle for a statement that it wouldn’t be her job as senator to create jobs.
The ad repeats a “just another bad idea from Sharron Angle” theme that Reid ads have used.
Angle says she wants a business-friendly environment where companies expand their payrolls.
