New rules for airlines

When traveling out of the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, passengers should be prepared for:

— Heightened security measures including increase of law enforcement officials from the Airport Authority and local police departments

— No knives of any kind will be allowed

— Increased baggage and additional passenger screenings

— No curbside check-in

— Ticketed passengers only will be allowed past security check points for departing flights

— Parking for short and long-term is available south of the parking garage at the surface lot; the airport’s parking structure is closed indefinitelyE

— Airlines will provide specific ticketing, including e-ticket, instructions

— Passengers should be prepared for at least 2-hour check-ins

–Special passenger assistance will need to be made directly with airlines
