New Sharron Angle ad blames Reid for Nevada woes
LAS VEGAS (AP) – Republican Senate hopeful Sharron Angle is painting Democratic incumbent Harry Reid as the extreme candidate in a new campaign ad focused on Nevada’s economic woes.
The 30-second TV ad began airing Thursday, two days after the Senate Majority Leader released his latest TV ad calling Angle “too extreme.”
It’s a label Reid has tried to pin on Angle since she won the Republican primary in June.
By throwing the political jab back toward Reid, Angle is recasting the central question in the tight race: Who is the most extreme of the two candidates?
The ad features Angle listing Nevada’s economic troubles against a backdrop of gloomy forecasts.
It cites soaring unemployment, record foreclosures and its tumbling home values.
Angle accuses Reid of dragging Nevada down.
