General manager and owner Jeff Smeath said, assuming the Gaming Commission approves the license Oct. 24, Slot World will be open for sports bettors the following day.

“It’s all ready to go,” he said.

The sport-betting operation will be managed by LeRoy’s Horse and Sports Place, which handles sports books for numerous Nevada casinos around the state. Slot World will be its 46th license.

Smeath said not only will the parlor handle sports bets, it hase contracted with Sunday Ticket to provide televised coverage of most football games every weekend.

In addition, the casino has two restaurants, one of which Smeath said they are planning to expand to more than 80 seats.
