Queer Thief: John Apple of Lander county was taken to the State Prison by the Sheriff and is a peculiar kind of thief. Convicted of stealing $200 out of trunk containing nearly $2,000, but being considerate enough to leave the Hon’s share for the owner. Certainly not a selfish thief.
