In Storey, Washoe, Eureka and Ormsby (Carson City), Mr. Harlos of the Appeal office, has 943 majority, and yet not long ago, there were men in Carson who predicted his defeat solely because he had anything to do with the Appeal.

Special train passed through Reno bearing the mangled body of John Murray, a Southern Pacific foreman. Both his arms were cut off, but he had a chance to recover. Accident at Perth, gravel pit short distance west of Lovelock when a steam shovel turned over pinning two and killing one. Journal.
