Fire: The Pavilion on the Plaza was discovered to be on fire, and the greater part of the inside was ablaze. The cause of the fire was malicious mischief, and there was evidence that kerosene was used.

Miss Jo Roberts (of Roberts House in Carson): A private letter from Tonopah states that Miss Jo Roberts was dying, but she came out of her lifeless condition and rallied. Her physician says that she has an excellent chance of recovery.
