He proceeded to stampede some Indians who were gambling and kicked up a bobbery and continued on to play mischief with our Swiss friend’s ice cream wagon… He even made the excellent and nimble Secretary of State clear a fence with unwonted precipitancy…

Uniform: Conductors: light dunn overcoat and double soled boots, to assists tramps off the train; Brakeman: elegant blue uniform edged with gold lace; Sleeping-car porter: black broadcloth and diamonds, frilled shirt and club hanging by side to knock down passengers who object to pay a dollar for having boots blacked; Baggage men: light checked suit and heavy boots for staving in trunk lids.

Cigar and umbrella race: Fourth of July games at Pizon Switch — Each rider must lead his own horse to the starting point. Before mounting, the racer must light a cigar and open an umbrella. At the finish, the cigar must be alight and the umbrella open.
