Lew the Rattler and Hank Monk: When they get down by the Ormsby House and begin to spin yarns, a crowd immediately gathers … like flies about molasses, Hank on one side and Gilhooley on the other, watching to pounce on the point of the joke the instant it shows up – Hank, splutters chuckles and Gilhooley throws his head back, opens his jaw like the lid of a coffee pot, and roars like a wild ass.
