Zephyr: A stovepipe blew away the other day in Bodie and the local preacher picked it up … six miles from there, where the gentle zephyr dropped it. It now adorns the roof of the parsonage … if the beloved sky-pilot doesn’t unclutch it forthwith, we’ll report the smutty affair to the Bishop. Homer Index.

California is unable to take in more refugees from the dust bowl states according to members of the rules committee of the House of Representatives. It’s “bankrupting” California.
