Susan B. Anthony coin: The Treasury Department has officially abandoned its long-running campaign to make Nevada and New Jersey casinos use the Susan B. Anthony coin. Senator Paul Laxalt says, “This is tremendously good news for Nevada. It means that our operators won’t have to spend the millions of dollar it would take to retrofit the machines.”

Starbucks Coffee Co. bought 100 acres at the Carson Valley Business Park for $4.6 million. The property will house a 300,000-square-foot coffee bean roasting and packaging plant.
