Lloyd Emerson Brakey and his father, both of Grass Valley, were indicted by the U.S. grand jury on the charge of violation of federal laws in having illegally in their possession 46.7 troy ounces of gold.

Kelly and Miller Bros. circus featuring the largest herd of elephants will be in Carson. Elephants do tricks and play a vital part in moving the circus.
