Poll: Reid-Angle race for a tossup
LAS VEGAS (AP) – A new poll shows a tossup in the key Senate race between Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid and Republican opponent Sharron Angle.
A second statewide telephone survey this month found 43 percent support for Reid, and 42 percent for Angle. Six percent were undecided.
The results put the two candidates well within the sampling error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
A similar poll two weeks ago had Reid leading 44 percent to 37 percent.
The new poll of 625 likely voters was conducted this week by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.
Seven percent said they want neither Reid nor Angle. Two percent said they want someone else.
