Reid, Sandoval, agree on debate schedule
(AP) – Democrat Rory Reid and Republican Brian Sandoval have finalized three debates in October in the countdown to the general election.
The campaigns on Friday confirmed an Oct. 7 debate in Las Vegas sponsored by the Nevada Broadcasters Association.
They will meet Oct. 26 in Elko for a debate sponsored by KENV-TV, and Oct. 27 in Reno on KRNV-TV’s “Nevada Newsmakers”
Early voting in Nevada begins Oct. 16.
The two debated education issues Aug. 29 in Las Vegas.
Sandoval is a former federal judge who resigned his lifetime appointment last fall to run for governor. Reid is chairman of the Clark County Commission and son of U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.
Polls have shown Sandoval maintaining a double-digit lead over his Democratic opponent.
