Reward offered in food bank theft

Secret Witness is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft of food designated for the Evelyn Mount Holiday Food Drive in Reno.

According to a press release, late in the evening Wednesday or early Thursday morning, someone broke into storage trailers at the Sak N Save store on Oddie Boulevard in Sparks. Two of the trailers contained food gathered for the Evelyn Mount Holiday Food Drive that helps needy families during the holidays.

Reno Police are asking anyone with information on the theft to call the Reno Police Department at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900. Information can also be given online at http://www.secretwitness.com.
