Senator Square: Come support a spring sport at CHS
National Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated this week. In honor of this, many events have been planned to celebrate the hard work of our teachers.
I would like to say thanks to all teachers in our district who work so hard every day!
Get Fit is an after-school class offered to girls who want to invest in their personal well-being. It is funded through a grant by Partnership Carson City.
The girls have been working hard since March 15. This past week, they were able to work out with Master Brandon from Carson City ATA.
He taught them women’s self-defense. Jodi Peterson from Silver State Nutrition was here to educate the girls on proper nutrition and food intake.
Finally, Sgt. N. Sunseri from the Army National Guard had the girls work out using a national program called Guard Fit.
I would like to thank them all for their time. The Get Fit class is so much fun because of these great programs.
CHS would like to invite you out to take in a spring sport. Come and support the swim and dive teams, baseball, softball, track and golf.
Our athletes are working hard and would appreciate your support. Please check http://www.carsonhigh.com for current schedules.
As the semester is winding down, CHS teachers and staff encourage you to monitor your child’s progress and attendance in class using Power School. It is an excellent tool in knowing what is going in each of your child’s classes.
