There will be no school Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day.
The Carson High School Naval Junior ROTC Unit will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in Senator Square.
The unit will recognize veterans from different wars and extend a special invitation to them. Veterans are invited for refreshments after the ceremony, compliments of the culinary classes.

The National Honor Society, along with United Blood Services, held a fall blood drive on Oct. 27.
They had 161 donors, and collected 176 units of viable blood.
The next scheduled blood drive is Jan. 20 in the library at CHS and then again on May 19 and 20 in the small gym.
The 15th annual Carson High Holiday Craft Faire will be 5-8:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 21.
Tickets for Friday night are $2, including the ability to return on Saturday and a free raffle ticket. Entry on Saturday is $1.50 or $1 with a canned food item. Children and students K-12 are free. Santa will be present both days. We will have great food, entertainment, and a book sale.
M. Emond’s science proficiency class celebrated Mole Day on Oct. 23, which is a global celebration. Her students were invited to join along with staff at 6:02 a.m. (there is a reason for this). All were excited about learning and explaining what Mole Day was.
