Note: Menus are for the week of Oct. 20 and are subject to change without notice. Choice of beverage is included with meals.


The lunch menu for the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive.

Monday: Baked ham with pineapple, yams, green beans, stewed tomatoes, tangerine.

Tuesday: Lasagna, spinach salad, yogurt with strawberries, garlic bread.

Wednesday: Roast beef with gravy, seasoned red potatoes, garden salad, apricots, whole wheat roll with margarine.

Thursday: Chicken ala king, butter rice, stir fry vegetables, cucumber salad, lime Jell-O with pineapple.

Friday: Stuffed peppers, linguini, broccoli salad, applesauce, French bread.


The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Meatloaf, steamed spinach, mashed potatoes, lettuce and tomato, whole wheat bread, margarine, plums, cake.

Tuesday: Chili rellano bake, broccoli and cauliflower, Spanish rice, tortilla, margarine, spicy pears.

Wednesday: Pork tenderloin, gravy, glazed carrots, stuffing, whole wheat roll, margarine, Mandarin oranges, cookie.

Thursday: Breaded fish squares, coleslaw, pears, rice pilaf, tartar sauce, whole wheat bread, margarine, cookie.

Friday: Quiche Lorraine, bacon, cheddar cheese in pie shell, sausage, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, V8 and orange juice.


The lunch menu for the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:

Monday: Green chili chicken enchiladas, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, Spanish rice, refried beans, peach cobbler.

Tuesday: Philly steak sandwich, curly fries, green salad, white grape juice, banana pudding.

Wednesday: Roast turkey, bread stuffing and gravy, colorful salad, corn, cranberry sauce, warm apple cider, pumpkin pie.

Thursday: Beef pot pie, Caesar salad, biscuit, pears, cookie.

Friday: Polynesian pork chop, white rice, sugar snap peas and carrots, apple nut slaw, pineapple upside down cake.


The dinner menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Avenue.

Monday: Tuna sandwich, carrot raisin salad, lentil soup, apple.

Tuesday: Meat loaf/gravy, green salad, green beans, corn, fresh cantaloupe.

Wednesday: Tuna noodle casserole, mixed veggies, roll, oranges, rice pudding.

Thursday: Birthday Dinner. Prime rib, baked potatoes, rolls, sautéed zucchini, cherries on a cloud.

Friday: Breakfast: Burrito, potatoes, sausage, eggs, V-8 juice, orange.


The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is located on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Chicken cordon bleu, noodles, gravy, vegetables.

Tuesday: Roast pork, potatoes augratin, gravy, tomatoes provincial, cookies.

Wednesday: Chicken enchiladas, refried beans, Spanish rice, fruit salad.

Thursday: Patty melt sandwich, cream of broccoli soup, berry muffins.

Friday: Fried chicken, hush puppies, potato salad, coleslaw, pudding, ice cream.


Lunch is served on weekdays at Fernley Center, 1170 W. Newlands Drive.

Monday: Eggplant Parmesan, spinach spaghetti, broccoli, orange juice, garlic bread, fruited yogurt.

Tuesday: Teriyaki chicken, fried rice, layered salad, fresh orange.

Wednesday: Chef salad, pickled beets, fresh fruit, ice cream.

Thursday: Philly cheesesteak, broccoli, pineapple Jell-O, salad, Tater Tots.

Friday: Hungarian goulash, spinach noodles, peas and carrots, lettuce and tomato salad, whole wheat bread, fruit mix.
