Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive:

MONDAY: Chili dogs with cheese and onions, corn, pasta salad and berries.

TUESDAY: Egg and sausage croissant, tomato juice, bananas in orange juice and poppy seed muffins.

WEDNESDAY: Clam chowder, sourdough bread with margarine, three-bean salad and pears.

THURSDAY: Teriyaki chicken, white rice, stir-fry vegetables and Jell-O with Mandarin oranges.

FRIDAY: Ribs, baked beans, glazed carrots, cranberry juice, cake and ice cream.


Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY: Cold turkey sandwiches and corn potato chowder, bread, lettuce, tomatoes, carrot and raisin salad, and strawberries.

TUESDAY: Sweet-and-sour pork, brown-rice pilaf, steamed cauliflower, salad, bread, margarine and peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Ham and beans, spinach salad, dressing, corn bread with margarine, cottage cheese, pears and Jell-O.

THURSDAY: Chicken pasta primavera, salad, Italian dressing, garlic bread, and orange and pineapple molds.

FRIDAY: Scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, toast and margarine, peaches, V8 and orange juice.


Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane:

MONDAY: Liver and onions or Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, spinach, beet and onion salad, and pumpkin pie.

TUESDAY: Corn potato chowder, turkey sandwiches, carrot and raisin salad, and strawberries.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue ribs, onion rings, macaroni salad, green beans and chocolate ice cream.

THURSDAY: Fried chicken, summer fruit bowls, au gratin potatoes, Swiss vegetable medley and banana pudding cake.

FRIDAY: Chicken fajitas, Spanish rice, ranch style beans, chopped spinach and pineapple chunks.


Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Ave.:

MONDAY: Cold turkey sandwiches on whole-wheat bread, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickled beets, cranberry Jell-O salad and raisin bars.

TUESDAY: Beef pot pie, green beans and mushrooms, whole-wheat rolls, margarine, mixed fruit and sherbet.

WEDNESDAY: Lasagna, garlic bread, cauliflower, apricots and sherbet.

THURSDAY: Chicken cacciatore, linguine, baked acorn squash, mixed greens, creamy Italian dressing and peanut cookies.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 9:30: Egg and sausage bake, hot oatmeal cereal and apricot halves.


Storey County Senior Citizens Center, corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

MONDAY: Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls and salad.

TUESDAY: Chicken noodle soup, Waldorf salad, vanilla yogurt and raspberries.

WEDNESDAY: Ham, scalloped potatoes, broccoli and salad.

THURSDAY: Shepherd’s pie, spinach, muffins, salad and bananas.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 10-11: Quiche, sausage links and fruit.


Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY: Cabbage rolls, egg noodles, peas, coleslaw, whole-wheat bread and apple crisp.

TUESDAY: Sweet and sour pork, fried rice, vegetables, egg rolls and ice cream.

WEDNESDAY: Chili-stuffed baked potato, broccoli salad and cherry strudel.

THURSDAY: Chef’s choice.

FRIDAY: Fish and chips, vegetables, coleslaw, biscuits and ice cream cups.
