‘Significant heat’ forecast for Carson City, Northern Nevada

It's going to be hot this weekend. Then, it's going to be hotter.
The National Weather Service is forecasting "significant heat" next week with highs in Carson City approaching, and perhaps reaching, 100 degrees, according to the NWS website.
Reno is forecast to be even hotter, topping out at 104 degrees on Wednesday while Fallon is forecast to hit 106 that day.
Before that, though, this weekend offers highs in the low to mid 90s with a slight chance of thunderstorms on Saturday.
A slight chance of thunderstorms returns to the forecast on Wednesday before temperatures are predicted to dip slightly, back into the high 90s.
