Soroptimist International of Carson City play Santa to seniors, kids

During the holidays, Soroptimist International of Carson City participated in two service projects to gather gifts for foster children and the Carson City Senior Center’s Adopt a Senior program.

Gifts from Santa were given to 12 boys and girls, and 24 seniors were surprised with presents at Christmas.

Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. More than 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories support community–based and worldwide projects primarily benefiting women and girls. Soroptimist International of Carson City is concerned with providing women and girls access to education.
