Still sunny, with cooler temps

Today’s weather will be sunny with highs 70-80 with light winds. Tonight, mostly clear with lows 34-44 with southwest winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Saturday, partly cloudy with highs 64-74 with light winds becoming southwest 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is still in effect. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

Clearview Drive will be closed Oct. 23 from Highway 395 (South Carson Street) to Silver Sage for resurfacing.

Resurfacing continues on Highway 50; traffic controls are in effect during all hours of the day with lane variations and reductions. Work includes paving, miscellaneous construction, speed limits, flaggers and possible delays.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is still in effect. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:54 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
