Twenty pounds of pot seized at Amtrak station

RENO ” Reno police say a routine drug interdiction program led to the seizure of 20 pounds of marijuana at the downtown Amtrak station.
Officers say the marijuana was found in luggage belonging to 23-year-old Yohannis Mengesha and had an estimated street value of nearly $50,000.
Police say it appears the marijuana was destined for distribution in the northeast United States.
Mengesha was arrested on charges of possession, possession for sale and transportation of a controlled substance.
Officers say he an Ethiopian national who is in the country illegally.
