Two names to be added to Nevada Firefighters’ Memorial in Carson City

Nevada Appeal staff report

Two names will be added to the Nevada Firefighters’ Memorial Wall in Carson City during the annual ceremony on Saturday.

John T. Delucchi, Las Vegas fire and rescue engineer, and Donovan Garcia Jr., Hungry Valley Volunteer Fire Department assistant chief, will be added to the names of other Nevada firefighters who died in the line of duty.

The community is welcome to attend the ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mills Park. It will conclude the week-long observance of National Fire Prevention Week in Nevada.

Honor Guard members will lead a fire service and conduct the memorial bell ceremony.
