Two sought in abduction, stabbing

Two men are being sought by police after they abducted a man late Thursday at gunpoint and he was later found stabbed and stumbling along Deer Run Road.

Carson City Sheriff’s Detective Craig Lowe said the 41-year-old victim answered his door on Edmonds Drive about 11:20 p.m. when two men shoved him inside and held a knife to his neck.

The men tied up or handcuffed the alleged victim and fled in a rental car leased by the victim’s girlfriend. The girlfriend, who witnessed the abduction, was left behind at the apartment with her young child.

It’s believed the man was taken to the Brunswick Canyon area where he was beaten, stabbed and then knocked unconscious, said Lowe.

At about 1:30 a.m. this morning passerbys found the victim covered in blood and stumbling along Deer Run Road.

He was taken by ambulance to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center and then flown to Renown Regional Medical Center with more than six stab wounds to his torso, head and facial wound and injuries related to a beating, said Lowe.

Investigators are asking the public to be on the lookout for a grey four-door 2008 Chevy Cobalt with Nevada plates 236UWY.

The suspects, who only spoke Spanish to the victim and girlfriend, are described as one in his 30s and one in his 40s and “dressed like gang members,” according to dispatch logs.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Lowe at 887-2020 ext. 1400.
