n 1869 – Virginia & Truckee Railroad constructed

n 1870 – First train from Carson City reaches Gold Hill

n 1906 – V&T begins operations to Minden

n 1935 – Crown Point trestle in Gold Hill torn down

n 1938 – Service to Virginia City ends

n 1941 – Rails between Virginia City and Carson City torn up for scrap

n 1945 – V&T Engine “Reno” sold to MGM Studios

n 1950 – V&T makes final run from Reno to Carson City and Minden

n 1976 – Bob Gray reopens line between Virginia City and Gold Hill

n 1991 – Demolition of old V&T engine house at Stewart and Washington streets in Carson City.

n 1993 – Legislature forms Tri-County Railway Commission to restore V&T route
