What’s closed and open on Veterans Day

What’s closed

• State, federal and city offices will be closed

• School are closed, including Western Nevada College.

• Marriage bureaus will be closed in Carson City and Minden/Gardnerville.

• Carson City Sheriff’s Office front counter is closed. Deputies will be available for calls through dispatch.

• Senior centers will be closed in Carson City, Storey County, Dayton, Silver Springs, Fernley and Douglas County.

• The Carson City, Silver Stage, Dayton, Fernley and Douglas County libraries are closed.

• The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail.

• The Nevada State Railroad Museum is closed.

• The South Lake Tahoe marriage bureau will be open from 10 a.m.-4p.m. at 175 Highway 50 W.

What’s open

• The Nevada Appeal business offices will be open.

• The Nevada State Museum is open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., 600 N. Carson St.

• The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada will be open.

• Jump Around Carson (JAC) will be running a regular schedule.
