What’s closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

State, federal and city offices will be closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Carson City School District students will return to school Tuesday.

The Carson City Marriage Bureau, 885 E. Musser St., will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.

The front counter of the Carson City Sheriff’s Department will be closed today.

Dayton, Douglas County, Silver Springs and Storey County senior centers will be closed today. The Carson City Senior Center will be open.

The Carson City Library will be closed today.

Lyon County public libraries will be open as usual. Other Lyon County offices and the marriage bureau will be closed today.

The Douglas County public library will be closed today. Douglas County government offices will be closed today.

Most banks will be closed today, including Colonial Bank and Wells Fargo.

Jump Around Carson buses will operate as scheduled. Call 887-2323 for information.

The Nevada State Museum will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

Curbside garbage collections will be made as usual.

The Nevada Appeal will publish as usual and the office will operate normal business hours.
