What’s closed, what’s open for Labor Day


• State, federal and city offices and U.S. Post Offices

• Western Nevada College campuses and learning centers in Carson City, Fallon, Minden, Fernley, Hawthorne, Lovelock, Smith Valley and Yerington.

• The front counter of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Officers will patrol as usual

• The Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County libraries

• Senior Centers in Carson City, Storey County, Dayton, Silver Springs and Douglas County

• The Carson City and Douglas County/Minden marriage bureaus

• Jump Around Carson and RTC Intercity will not be operating

• The Nevada Appeal offices will be closed


• The South Lake Tahoe Marriage Bureau, 175 Highway 50 West, Stateline, will be open from 10 a.m.-4p.m.

• RTC RIDE will be observing its Sunday schedule. Schedules can be found by visiting http://www.rtc

• The Nevada State Museum will be open

• The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open

• The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada will be open from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
